History of BJORN

Take a journey through time and uncover the origins of BJORN, our rugged and cherished Overland Vehicle. From modest beginnings to becoming a rugged adventurer, BJORN’s story is one of transformation and purpose. Born in 1994 as a Military Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV) M1078 AO, BJORN began its life built for resilience and reliability. The LMTV series features versatile truck chassis, including cargo and van variants with 12-foot bodies. Designed with a 2.5-ton rating, these vehicles excel on primary and secondary roads, as well as rugged trails. Purpose-built for a wide range of missions—such as line haul, local haul, unit mobility, and unit resupply—they served in combat, combat support, and combat service support roles with unwavering dependability.

Once the vehicle was refined and road-ready, a custom 16-foot habitat was securely mounted onto the truck bed, completing BJORN’s evolution into a fully capable overlanding vehicle—offering both unparalleled adventure and the cozy comforts of a tiny home.
